Jordan Kopycinski returns to Blinn College after spending the 2017-18 season as the volunteer coach at Rice University under legendary head coach, Wayne Graham. Kopycinski returns to enter his sixth season as an assistant baseball coach for the Blinn College baseball program. He assists with catchers, outfielders and hitters, while coaching first base.
While coaching at Rice, the Owls went 26-31-2. During his five seasons at Blinn College, the Buccaneers posted a 148-135-1 record, made four appearances at the Region XIV Tournament and made one trip to the JUCO World Series in 2014.
Prior to coming to Blinn, Kopycinski spent a year and a half as an assistant coach with Texas State University, coaching catchers and first basemen.
Kopycinski joined the Bobcats' coaching staff after a successful playing career at Texas State that included two conference championships and all-conference honors. In 2006, he was drafted by the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Kopycinski earned his bachelor's degree in exercise sports science from Texas State in 2010.
