Houston Texans Cheerleaders to make appearance at Blinn football game

Six Houston Texans Cheerleaders – including one former Blinn College dancer – will take photos with fans and sign autographs during Blinn's Oct. 6 football game against Kilgore College at Cub Stadium.

Second-year Texans cheerleader Stephanie will be returning to Brenham after studying at Blinn from 2009-11, where she spent two years with Blinn's nationally-recognized Treasures dance team. Blinn's dance squad also has former members currently performing with the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Dynamo cheer teams, and boasts a former Houston Rockets dancer among its alumni.

The Texans Cheerleaders will pose for photos and sign autographs from 6:30-8:30 p.m., with the game set to kick off at 7 p.m. Game admission is $5, and children 12 and under get in free. Blinn students and employees get in free with their College IDs. The Texans' 2012 cheerleader calendar will be available for sale.

The game will pit the Buccaneers (2-2, 1-1 in the Southwest Junior College Football Conference) against the sixth-ranked Kilgore Rangers (4-0, 2-0). The Bucs are coming off a 35-27 victory over Tyler Junior College.
