LAREDO, Texas — Josh Stone scored a corner kick goal in overtime for the Blinn College men's soccer team (10-4-1, 9-3-1) to defeat Laredo College, 2-1, for its 10th win of the season.
"This overtime win was a nice way to finish two long road trips this weekend," said Michael McBride, Blinn head coach.
Laredo scored its only goal in the 39th minute to lead 1-0 at the halftime mark. Fevrier Sildor tied the game 1-1 in the 60th minute to eventually send the game into overtime. Then, Stone kicked the golden goal in the 106th minute for Blinn to get the 2-1 victory.
Next, the Buccaneers will take a break from conference play against Louisiana State University Eunice on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 7 p.m. at Rankin Field. The women's soccer team will start the doubleheader at 5 p.m.
