Blinn to host men’s and women’s soccer ID camps

The Blinn College District Athletic Department will host two soccer ID camps for current high school soccer players.

The men's camp is on Saturday, Nov. 17, and women's camp is on Sunday, Nov. 18. Both camps will both run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The cost is $75 per person.

The camps provide student-athletes the opportunity to gain more exposure to the college recruiting process, college coaches, and their programs. Southern Methodist University, Midwestern State University, and Blinn College will attend the men's camp, while Lamar University, Midwestern State University, and Blinn College will attend the women's camp.

Universities planning to attend are subject to change based on postseason play.

Student-athletes will be trained in an intensive, collegiate environment where they will receive individual guidance and mentorship during training sessions and games. College coaches will have a first-hand opportunity to work with players in small group sessions and see them in variety of competitive, game-related situations that create direct opportunities to be recruited. Additional assistance will be provided by players currently on the Blinn College men's and women's soccer teams, allowing student-athletes to build personal relationships and learn from collegiate student-athletes.
